Here at the family support committee, we recognize that there are many ways that people express how the experience of knowing and loving a person with special needs has affected our lives. What follows is poetry, art and other expression that people have submitted to share.
Thanks to those who have shared their art.

They said we'd know in one year
I wore my rose colored glasses
And saw everything clearly
Until the fog
Meandered in
Hiding all measures
Of direction
Until its weight
No longer bearable
Condensed into rivers
Overflowed the banks
Ravaged all in its path
Leaving a trail of debris,
Desolation ripe with possibility
